Just some notes and verses on Hebrews

1-9- Paul shares different warnings and make several request. Notice that he starts with love and how it should continue Romans 12:10. When we have love we will even entertain strangers and continue to demonstrate that love to others. It could be we are interacting with angels as did Abraham, Gideon, and Manoah and others. He reminds us to remember those in jail or prison and to sympathize with them as if you were there1 Corinthians 12:26. Love will honor marriage and to be faithful. Our conversation will be edifying and without covetousness towards others. We should be content with what we have for God will not leave us or forsake us whether we have little or whether we have enough, so we can say that the Lord is my helper and I will have no fear what man can do to me. We are told to remember those in chapter 11 who spoke the word of God and their faith was demonstrated by their works. We should reflect upon the life and especially the closing scenes of Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Those in chapter 11 believed the report about Jesus and throughout time that same report has been shared even into our day. We must be careful not to be carried away with strange doctrines. We must be established with the grace of God.
10-19- Paul looks at the type of the altar and then he mentions the antitype which is the cross of Christ who suffered outside the gate. Symbolizing the earth and the real sanctuary is in heaven. We need to be at the cross bearing the reproach and growing in Christ allowing Him to lead us straight into the most holy place. We are not looking for a city in Jerusalem, we are seeking a heavenly one whose builder and maker is God. Which is the city to come when we go to heaven. So through Jesus let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually Psalm 50:23; 69:30-31; 107:21-22. We must respect our leaders because they must give an account for our souls which mean a they are really concerned for us and love us. Paul asks for prayer and mentions that they have lived in good conscience and have lived honestly. Then he says that they (Hebrews) do the same so he can be with them.
20-25- This is who we must constantly look too. God has brought again Jesus from the dead and through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make us perfect in every good work. If we allow Him to work in us. I wonder why it says "again"? Here’s are others scriptures 1 Corinthians 15:4; Romans 4:25; Matthew 16:21, 17:23; Acts 13:33, 37 The blood of Christ is everlasting, all those sacrifices of bulls and goats typified Christ and it is only His blood that can take away sin AG 155; So we have a new and living way 10:10, 20 and Christ will work in us to make us complete in Him Colossians 2:10. We must give Him consent UL 187.5
