Matthew 13
1-9 Jesus goes into a ship and there was a multitude following Him and here He speaks many things in parables. The first one is regarding the a sower who went forth to sow.
Some fell by the wayside and fowls came and devoured them up
Some fell on stony places and when the sun was up they got dried up and withered away
Some fell among thorns and the thorns choked them
Some fell in good brought forth fruit, some hundredfold, sixtyfold, and some thirthyfold
Jesus shares this parables and then say "Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." Sounds very similar to the words in Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22 What Jesus is saying "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith…" Rev 2:29. In Isaiah 50:4-5, the bible says that the Lord wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned. Then it says that the Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
10-23 The disciples came and ask Jesus why did He speak to the multitudes in a parable? Jesus said to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven is given unto you and not to them. Doesn’t Jesus want the whole world to know about the kingdom of heaven? Yes He does, but He also said "Who hath ears to hear, let him hear." They're are people who are sincere in wanting to know the truth and live by it and then their are people who just hear the truth and it does nothing for them. If we use what we got, more shall be given, but those who have and have not use it, it shall be taken away. So Jesus speak to them in parables because they only see and can’t perceive and they hear and can’t understand. Jesus wanted those who really want to know the truth and to further ask Him as the disciples did. God wants us to know the truth, but our hearts is waxed gross by what we see and what we hear. Jesus wants us to experience true conversion. Their were many prophets and righteous men who desire to see and hear what people have seen during the time of Jesus and have not seen or heard them.
Jesus goes ahead and explain the parable to the disciples. In Mark 4:14, the sower is sowing the word, so the seed is the word. Luke 8:11 says the seed is the word of God. Anytime anyone hears the word of God and they don’t understand it, Satan catcheth away that which was sown in the the heart, these are the seeds that are sown by the wayside.
Then there are those who received the word of God in stony places. They receive it with joy, but they are not rooted, when persecution happens they are offended. This is where a lot of professed Christians are at. They love to hear the word, but they are not yielding to it in their daily lives James 1:22. The root (Isaiah 40:24; Hosea 9:16-17) cannot go deeper because it is on a stone and that stone is selfishness, which underlies the soil of their good desire and aspirations COL 46. We need to have root and that root is Love which is a union with Christ through faith and it will be spiritually nourished and grow. We can’t depend upon self or our good works. We have to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. So when verse 21 says "he hath no root in himself" it is saying he is not connected to Christ. We receive the gospel as a way of escape from suffering, instead of a deliverance from sin. We must bear reproach for Christ’s sake Hebrews 13:13. When God tries to help them by pointing out some cherished sin, they are offended and don’t want to change. We need to constantly have "repentance towards God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" Acts 20:21. We cannot withhold anything from Christ.
They are many who claim to serve God but have no experimental knowledge of Him. Their desire to do His will is based upon their own inclination, not upon the deep conviction of the Holy Spirit. Their conduct is not brought u to harmony with the law of God. They profess to accept Christ as their Saviour, but they do not believe that He will give them power to overcome their sins. COL 48.1
Many Christians feel a sense of wrong in their life and a sense of bondage to self and sin and try to make efforts to reform and change but they do not crucify self. How do we crucify self? We need to give ourselves entirely into the hands of Christ, seeking for divine power to do His will. We must give up every sin, because if we don’t the old selfish nature will gain strength. Anyone who tries to serve self and Christ is a stony ground hearer and when the test comes he will not endure it. We must live to every single light we know and trust fully and completely in Christ and allow His Spirit to accomplish the work which He began.
Then there are those who receive seeds in thorny places. They hear the word of God and the cares of this world and riches choke the word and it bears no fruit. They allow the busyness of life to overtake them and spend no time with God, even when doing ministry. There is a balance of being between the mountain and the multitude. Christ mentions specific things that re dangerous to the soul, in Mark 4:19, the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things… Luke says, cares, riches, and pleasures of this life and bring no fruit to perfection. Satan uses cares, riches and pleasures to play the game of life for the human soul. The bible says love not the world and love not the things that are in the world 1 John 2:15-16. People with money need to be careful because they can fall into temptation and a snare and also into many foolish and hurtful lust which drown then in destruction and perdition 1 Timothy 6:9-10.
But then, they are those who receive seed into good ground Acts 16:14, they hear the word and understand it which leads to bearing fruit and it brings forth hundredfold, some sixty and some thirty. In order to be a good ground hearer, we must exercise our choice. We are responsible for the hardness of our heart Acts 7:51, 54. The heart must be cultivated and it must be done by deep repentance for sin. "So the evil tendencies of the natural heart can be overcome only by earnest effort in the name and strength of Jesus." COL 56.2 We must not sow among thorns Jeremiah 4:3. Cast on Jesus all of your cares and sin. Keep denying natural inclination, self-denial and endurance in the word of Christ is something we all have to learn.
In verse 20-21 the seed which is the word of God fell into stony ground which had not much earth. This person hears the word and receive it with joy. But he had not rooted himself and might endure for a while, but tribulation or persecution comes because of the word of God and he is offended by it and lets it go because he was not rooted in it. So the question is how do you become rooted in the word? Ephesians 3:16-19 Matthew 13:23, the heart must be prepared to receive the word, the seed has to be sowed into good ground. Which means it is not by the wayside, stony places or in thorns. The Lord has to prepare the heart or open the heart Acts 16:14; 17:11; Hebrews 4:2; James 1:21-22; 1 Peter 2:1,-2; 1 John 5:20. These people will receive the word and have a honest and good heart to keep it.
24-30 Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to a man who sow good seed in his field. Jesus has always sown good seed. It was by the word that he made the heavens and the earth. When He spake it was done, when He commanded it stood fast Psalm 33:6, 9. Jesus shares several parables that the scriptures might be fulfilled saying that He will "open my mouth in parables" and share things that have been kept secret from the foundation of the world verse 35.
What is a parable? an earthly story with heavenly meaning or a proverb. "Leading thus from the natural to the spiritual kingdom, Christ's parables are links in the chain of truth that unites man with God, and earth with heaven." COL 17.2 Nature is full of the knowledge of God, teeming with divine instruction. But when sin entered the world it had marred and place a concealment in the manifest of God. But even with sin, nature still reveals and speaks of her Creator. This is why country living is part of God’s plan. God wants us to be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, to learn of Him and understand His teachings. When the Lord was training Israel to be the special representatives of Himself, He gave them homes among hills and valleys COL 23.2
Recently, I learned that Christ wants us to work on His timing and cooperate with His ways. The best time to work in the garden is in the morning. As we learn of Christ, we should instantly put our knowledge to use. This has a connection with the Sabbath. The Lord is sanctifying us and we recognize the memorial of His creative power.
The disciples asked Jesus "Why speakest thou unto them in parables?" Jesus said "Because it is given unto to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. The next parable is the wheat and the tares. Jesus says "The kingdom of heaven is likened…" This phrase is used to reveal heavenly things. Jesus tells them the parable the of the wheat and tares 24-30 and the interpretation are in verses 36-43. Jesus gives other parables between 31-33. But the disciples ask to know about the wheat and tares and Jesus explains it to them.
The parable is about a field which had good seed and while men were sleeping an enemy sow tares among the wheat and as the seeds were growing the servants noticed that tares were also growing with the wheat and ask about how these tares got into the wheat. They asked is they should gather them up. But the man said, no, because you can gather up the wheat also, let them both grow together until the harvest and I will send reapers to do it.
31-35 There are several parables and Jesus starts them by saying "The kingdom of heaven is like.." these sayings are showing that there is a heavenly meaning but Christ is helping us understand what they are by giving us a earthly story. In Mark 4:30 the question is asked
"Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
The kingdom of heaven is compared to a mustard seed which a man sowed in his field. So a mustard seed is a good seed which is faith or having faith Luke 17:6; Hebrews 11:6 and a mustard seed is small and when the man sowed in his field, it will grow and become great, that even the fowls of the air are able to lodged in the branches thereof. Christ is the man that sow good seed 13:37 and He is sowing truth/faith (there is a connection between faith and truth 2 Timothy 2:18, if we resist the truth, then we will not have any judgment and will have a reprobate mind and our faith will be overcome 2 Timothy 3:8; Titus 1:1) or the kingdom of heaven 12:28 in the soil or hearts of the people 13:23, so that it will grow and become the greatest among herbs and become a tree Daniel 4:20-22. This means that the seed which is sown will start to unfold the principles of truth in the heart as oppose to the principles of the kingdom of the world. It will grow and expand the kingdom of Christ. Every stage of its growth represent a special truth and a special work for every generation COL 78.2
The kingdoms of the world are compared to beast in Daniel 7, but the kingdom of heaven is compared to a small seed or Christ which is the lamb of God John 1:29. God is calling us in this generation to give the last message of warning and mercy to the world, "to take out of them a people for His name" Acts 15:14 so the earth will be lightened with His glory Rev 18:1
Jesus gives another parable and says that the kingdom of heaven is unto leaven. Usually, in the bible the word leaven is associated with something evil, but in this case it is considered good for the purpose to demonstrate a point. Jesus said in Matthew 16:6, 12 …beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. So leaven is associated with doctrine and doctrine is certain teachings 7:28-29; 15:7-9; Isaiah 28:9; Acts 5:28; Mark 1:27; John 7:16; Acts 17:17-19; Rom 6:17; Luke 4:32; 2 John 1:9; Hebrews 6:2. Leaven is a substance which is small, yet thoroughly pervades a thing by influence like in Galatians 5:9 "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump." So the kingdom of heaven starts small but will eventually causes the whole thing to rise gradually.
The bible says a woman took the leaven and a woman is the church, so the church took the teachings or doctrines of Christ and hid in three measures of meal Genesis 18:2-6 until the whole was leavened. Leaven is associated with bread Exodus 13:3; Lev 7:13. In the story of Abraham who met three people, they were actually three angels and the church is to share the three angels messages of Revelation 14 which is given to us as a remnant people to spread throughout the whole world. The Word God explained to families will begin it’s leavening work and help convert them to the truth. WM 161-162. Jesus stayed and continued to speak with Abraham, but the other two angels when to Sodom and Gomorrah to call them out.
These were prophesied, that Jesus would be speaking in parables to share hidden gems which were kept secret from the foundation of the world.
36-43 The sower of the good seed is Christ, the Son of Man and the field is the world. When Christ created the world everything was good, but while Adam was away Satan sowed an evil seed in Eve’s heart and here we have the first wheat and tares mingle together and Adam was affected and became a tare and Christ instituted the plan of redemption to redeem them. But this also applies to the church. Because Christ must present to Himself a glorious church Ephesians 5:27 with no spot or wrinkle or with only wheat and not tares. The kingdom of God is the general assembly of the church in heaven and on earth Hebrews 12:22-24. The good seed are the children of the kingdom, but the tares are the children of Satan. So Christ says, let both of them grow until the harvest and the harvest is the end of the world. How is the end of the world connected to the end of probationary time? Probation closes before Jesus comes a second time. So the end of the world is at the close of probation. Then the seven last plagues fall and Jesus returns a second time. In verse 49, the bible says "at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just." In order to do this a judgment must take place before Jesus comes back again the second time. In this controversy, it must be made clear who are the wheat (righteous) and who are the tares (wicked) Deut 25:1. Jesus gives another example of this with the casting a net into the sea and gathered good and bad and then it says they sat down and gathered the good and cast out the bad Matthew 13:47-48. There is a separation before Jesus comes and that separation finalizes at the close of probation. It is called the "Shut door theory" God gave it to Noah Genesis 6:3. There was a shut door during the says of Abraham when Lot was in Sodom Genesis 19:10. There was a shut door in Christ’s day Matthew 23:38
The bible says in Matthew 24:37 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Here Jesus is pointing us to go back and look at the story of Noah to see how events will transpire. In Genesis 7:7 "And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood." and in verse 10 it says "And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth."
So God allowed Noah and is family to enter into the ark and waited seven days and then the flood came. When Noah and his family entered the ark and the door was closed, probationary time for those who were outside the ark was closed and it was closed for those inside the ark. Everyone has made there decision, God gather those into His ark and be saved and those who did not enter into the ark were lost. It took seven days and then the flood came, so in the end probation will close and then seven plagues will fall and Jesus will come by fire 2 Peter 3:10-12. So the end of the world is the end of probationary time and the separation between those who love God and those who don’t will be clear. This will be the end of that separation process.
Mercy had ceased its pleadings for the guilty race…. Noah and his household were within the ark, "and the Lord shut him in." Genesis 7:16 ...The massive door, which it was impossible for those within to close, was slowly swung to its place by unseen hands. Noah was shut in, and the rejecters of God's mercy were shut out. The seal of Heaven was on that door; God had shut it, and God alone could open it. So when Christ shall cease His intercession for guilty men, before His coming in the clouds of heaven, the door of mercy will be shut. ...but as Noah was shut into the ark, so the righteous will be shielded by divine power. PP 98.2
For seven days after Noah and his family entered the ark, there appeared no sign of the coming storm. During this period their faith was tested. It was a time of triumph to the world without. The apparent delay confirmed them in the belief that Noah's message was a delusion, and that the Flood would never come. Notwithstanding the solemn scenes which they had witnessed—the beasts and birds entering the ark, and the angel of God closing the door—they still continued their sport and revelry, even making a jest of these signal manifestations of God's power. They gathered in crowds about the ark, deriding its inmates with a daring violence which they had never ventured upon before. PP 98.3
Both wheat and tares will grow together until the harvest and in the time of harvest, Jesus will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
44-52 Christ compares the kingdom of heaven with other descriptions. I noticed the comparison are to something small. The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, leaven, a man which sowed good seed, treasure hid in a field, a merchant man with one pearl and a net. These examples are minor, but will have a big impact.
The treasure hid in a field is the kingdom of heaven. Heaven is a treasure, a gem that we are to value and to sell all we have and buy it. How do we buy it? Jesus said "I counsel thee to buy of me.." Revelation 3:18 and when Jesus started His ministry He also said "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God (heaven) is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15. The bible says Search the scriptures…they are they which testify of me John 5:39. We are to search the word of God for treasure and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and to lead us into all truth. "If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures. Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:4-5 Which will gives us joy. The kingdom of heaven belongs to God the Father and Jesus Daniel 7:13-14; John 18:36. The field is the Bible and when we seek and search the scriptures we will find the knowledge of God and sell all that we have to posses it. It will gives us wisdom and knowledge which will be the stability of the times we live in and strengthen us in salvation. The fear of the Lord is our treasure Isaiah 33:6. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge is in the Father and Christ and the Holy Spirit helps us to know Him Colossians 2:2-3
Jesus also compares the kingdom of heaven unto a merchant man seeking goodly pearls. When the merchant man found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that the had and bought it. The merchant man is a business person that buys or trade Genesis 37:28; Ezekiel 27:13, 17, 22, 24; Revelation 18:11. The merchant man is seeking goodly pearls which is wisdom Job 28:12, 17-18; and wisdom is Jesus 1 Corinthians 1:24, 30. The merchant man are those seeking and trying to find Jesus and His righteousness and truth. Zacchaeus Luke 19:5-9 is one who thought riches was important until he find Jesus. Solomon was seeking wisdom 1 Kings 3:9-15 and with it God gave him riches. We find this in Matthew 2:1-2 the wise men came looking for Jesus in Jerusalem. In Acts 10:1-4 Cornelius is seeking and praying to God and God heard him and sent him to Peter and in verse 33 Cornelius was ready and eager for the pearl and "to hear all things that are commanded thee of God." Peter shared the pearl of great price with him and that was Jesus in verses 36-43. Those who seek the pearl will do all they can to obtain it, but there are some who are always seeking. They have not fully surrendered the wrong habits, they do not die to self that Christ may live within, they do not take up their cross and follow the path of self denial and sacrifice.
Almost Christians, yet not fully Christians, they seem near the kingdom of heaven, but they cannot enter there. Almost but not wholly saved, means to be not almost but wholly lost. COL 118.1
We are to seek for the pearl of great price, but not in worldly marts or in worldly ways. The price we are required to pay is not gold or silver, for this belongs to God. Abandon the idea that temporal or spiritual advantages will win for you salvation. God calls for your willing obedience. He asks you to give up your sins. COL 117.3
The parable also has another view point. Christ is also seeking those who are pearls by hearing and responding to the truth. The Holy Spirit reveals Christ to us as the precious pearl. During the early church on Pentecost, the Holy Spirit fall upon the disciples and the truth was proclaimed with power and the people heard clearly as it penetrated through the darkened minds of false teachings and so called doctrines of men. The people were aware of how sinful they were and in Acts 2:37 i says "…they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter…what shall we do?" and Peter said "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." verse 38
This manifestation is to be repeated in our time which is the latter rain. But God needs a people to be ready to receive it and give a message to the world that will call a people out of the Babylon system Revelation 14:8; 18:4-5.
Jesus goes further and says that the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered all kinds of creatures in the sea. When it was full, they brought it to shore and sat down to gather the good in vessels and cast away the bad. They it makes a comparison to the end of the world. The angels will come forth and separate the wicked from the among the just and cast them into the furnace of fire.
These verse summarizes what Jesus was leading up to, to clearly show that the time to accept the kingdom of heaven or grace is now. There will be a time when heaven or grace will no longer be given. Right now, Jesus is sitting down on the right hand of God Mark 16:19; Malachi 3:2, 3; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 1:3, 13; 8:1; 10:12; 12:2; Colossians 3:1. Jesus has gone up to heaven in 31 A.D. and was anointed and began His ministry in the Holy Place of the sanctuary and then in 1844 He entered the Most Holy Place. In Daniel 7:9, 26 we see the Ancient of Days did sit in the Most Holy Place and in verse 13 Jesus is also there and is near the Ancient of Days which is the God the Father. The purpose of this is said in verse 10 which is to open the books and separate those who are unjust from the among the just. This is the judgment of the righteous dead. While Christ is sitting down, the work of the gospel along with the judgment of the righteous continues until He is finish. Jesus says this is how it will be in the end of the world and the angels will come forth and separate the wicked from the just.
When the mission of the gospel is completed, the judgment will accomplish the work of separation COL 122.2
Jesus said in Mark 1:15 "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
The casting of the net is the preaching of the gospel. This gathers both good and evil into the church COL 122.2
There is no more time given after the separation to accept the gospel. A crisis will cause the separation and it will be final. Probation will close and the work of the gospel will be complete and the destiny of all will be forever fixed. These parables teach us that there is no time when all the wicked will turn to God. They teach that everyone will make a decision and chose either God or themselves. For those who chose themselves, there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Jesus asked important question after this and said "Have ye understood all these things?" and the disciples said yes. I hope and pray we understand them too. As a result of understanding these things the next verse says every scribe who is instructed in the kingdom of heaven is able to brings things out from the new and old. In other words, he can share the word of God which are the principles of the kingdom of heaven from the old testament and the new testament Nehemiah 8:1-9, 13; Mark 12:28-34, a scribe has a understanding of the scriptures and tells the truth and help people to understand the word of God.
It says that who ever is instructed is like a man that is an householder and a householder is like a Pastor, Shepard, or Bishop (Elder). In 1 Timothy 3:1, it says "…If a man desire the office of a bishop (Elder), he desireth a good work…" and in verse 5 it says "One that ruleth well his own house…if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?"
A scribe is a pastor/elder and the Lord wants pastor/elder to feed or to "bring forth out of His (God’s) treasure things new and old" to the flock of God. But this will be according to the Lord who will feed them because they are on one accord with God. Leviticus 26:9-12 The Lord will establish His covenant with you and ye shall eat of the old store (the old covenant/types) and because of the new (the new covenant/antitype) ye shall continue to bring forth ensamples from the old, this is the plan of redemption. COL 127.4 God says in Jeremiah 3:15 …I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Acts 20:28; Jeremiah 23:3-4; Ezekiel 34:23; Psalm 78:70-72; 1Peter 5:1-4 and Jesus who is the Great Shepard says in John 10:27 "My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me" Isaiah 40:9-11 the Lord will feed his flock… The Lord will use his people to also do the same Proverbs 10:20-21
The great storehouse of truth is the word of God—the written word, the book of nature, and the book of experience in God's dealing with human life. Here are the treasures from which Christ's workers are to draw. In the search after truth they are to depend upon God, not upon human intelligences, the great men whose wisdom is foolishness with God. Through His own appointed channels the Lord will impart a knowledge of Himself to every seeker. COL 125.2
But it is in the written word that a knowledge of God is most clearly revealed to fallen man. This is the treasure house of the unsearchable riches of Christ. COL 126.1
We need the old in order to understand the new. We can’t understand the new without the old. Christ often presented old truths to bring in new ones. Jesus says in John 5:46 "had ye believed Moses ye would have believed Me; for he wrote of Me." We need both the law and the gospel John 1:17. The word gospel does not appear in the old testament, only in the new. Mark 1:1 says the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Although the gospel is in the old testament and first given in Genesis 3:15.
No man can rightly present the law of God without the gospel, or the gospel without the law. The law is the gospel embodied, and the gospel is the law unfolded. The law is the root, the gospel is the fragrant blossom and fruit which it bears. COL 128.2
The Bible has the word of life and we need to dig into it to learn and know the love and knowledge of God. The truth as it is in Jesus demand’s our study, so we can reflect Him, share Him, and live Him. The study of Christ will never get boring and is inexhaustible. Throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity we will continue to learn and study the plan of redemption Romans 11:33; Colossians 2:2-3.
53-58 Jesus finish the parables and left and went to His home town and was teaching in His local church. The people there was kind of shock, because of His wisdom and mighty works. It looks like they were confused because this is something they probably do not expect. They reacted by saying "Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?" and Jesus also had sisters and they mentioned that how can He do all these things? Once again, something they were not expecting Him to do. They were offended in him. They didn’t appreciate Him or recognize Him as someone who can do these things from their own town or accept Him as the Messiah because they knew His family and would not expect something like this from their family. So they held on to their unbelief, even though they exclaim "Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?"
Jesus says "A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house." In other words, Jesus is honored in other places and accepted except for His own country and even in His own house and church. So He couldn’t do many works there because of their unbelief. Sometimes the hardest to reach is your own family members or within the church. In Mark 6:5-6 Jesus marvelled because of their unbelief and He only laid his hands on a few sick and healed them. Unbelief is a evil heart Hebrews 3:12; Psalm 95:8-11; John 3:18, 36; 8:24; 10:25, 37-38; Romans 3:3;Titus 1:15-16; Hebrews 11:6; 1 John 5:10; Jude 1:5. The bible says if you don’t believe, you will not be established Isaiah 7:9; Hebrews 12:25. Unbelief is being faithless Matthew 17:17-20; God gives us enough to believe 21:32; Mark 16:14-16; Luke 22:67
We should seek the Lord to help us with our unbelief Mark 9:24. We need the word of God abiding in us so we can believe John 5:38, 47; 12:47-48; 20:29; Romans 4:20; Romans 14:23; 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3
