1-4- Jesus is made a priest after the order of Melchizedek. Psalm 110:4 Melchizedek met Abraham in Genesis 14:18-20 this is the first time that a priest is mentioned in the Bible and more specifically a priest of the most high God. Abraham even pay tithes to Melchizedek. First time in scripture you see tithe paying. 1SM409.3 it says Christ spoke through Melchizedek and that Christ was not Melchizedek. They are speculation that Melchizedek was the Holy Spirit because of verse 3. It says "without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, or end of life; but made like u to the Son of God; abide the priest continually." I think this is false because no where else in the Bible you find the Holy Spirit in human form. Angels are the ones that come in human form. But in order to be a priest it must be taken from among men 5:1. Not to limit the Holy Spirit, because I do believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, but in John 14:17 it says "but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." So it can’t be the Holy Spirit either. Christ who had to become a man before He can become a priest accomplished is work as man before going to heaven to be anointed priest.

5-10-the Levite’s who are a priesthood and were established after Abraham were descendants of Abraham. Melchizedek is not counted with the Levite’s Andy he received tithes from Abraham and he blessed him that had the promise. So Abraham is blessed by Melchizedek. So here is one that testify that one liveth to receive tithe. Levi also paid tithes to Melchizedek through Abraham for He was yet in his father loins when meeting Melchizedek.

11- So why did we have a Levitical priesthood? Hebrews 9:9 Since they also received the law. Which law is this referring too? The law they received under the Levitical priesthood which is the law of Moses Hebrews 8:7-9; 9:10; Deuteronomy 31:9-13; 17:18-20

12-18- The priesthood is changed is referring to Melchizedek. As a matter of fact when Christ died on the cross the veil rent in two signifying that there is no longer a earthly temple. Christ was going to be anointed priest soon after His resurrection. We know Christ is of the tribe of Judah which has nothing to do with the priesthood. So Christ is after the similitude or order of Melchizedek. Melchizedek was a great man and done is duty well as a priest of the most high God. Jesus is made a priest not after the law of carnal commandment (levitical) but after a power that loves and lives forever. The type was weak and unprofitable and it made nothing perfect. But the antitype brought in a better hope by we draw nigh to God.

20-25- the levitical priesthood were made without oath but Jesus with an oath and with a better testament. In the levitical priesthood they were many priest but because they died. But Jesus He continueth forever and has a unchangeable priesthood. This is why He is able to save us to the uttermost because He ever liveth to make intercession for us.

26-28- Christ has become one of us. Ephesians 4:10. Christ created the heavens. He is Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, although He was made to be sin for us 2 Corinthians 5:21. Christ did not offer himself daily as those earthly high priest. He offered himself once. Jesus is a high priest by the word of oath which is "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek." Melchizedek brought bread and wine to Abraham, Jesus did the same thing in the last supper Matthew 26:26-28

In summary, Christ is a high priest because of the oath made in Psalm 110:4. It was not after the levitical priesthood but after the order of Melchizedek who is a priest and king forever. Christ is now a high priest in the heavens and will be soon coming King. He is blessing us just like Melchizedek blessed Abraham.
